The DLS 5402DC by Spirent is an advanced Differential & Common Mode Noise Injection System designed for precise testing purposes. It utilizes DLS 5Bxx pre-packaged noise files and is fully compatible with the DLS 5204 xDSL Four Output Custom Noise Generator. This combined system offers exceptional capabilities in generating impairments, specifically with a crest factor of 5 or greater, ensuring high accuracy during testing procedures. One of the key features of the DLS 5402DC is its user-friendly interface, which is based on the Windows operating system. This graphical user interface (GUI) simplifies the operation and control of the system, enabling efficient and intuitive usage. The DLS 5402DC is designed to provide flexibility to the user. It determines the output impedance of the noise generator, achieving a balanced configuration at 4 Kohm for differential mode noise and 1 Kohm for common mode noise. This system also offers a wide range of impairments that can be applied to simulate wireline conditions. These impairments include Crosstalk Noise, White Noise, up to 30 AM RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) tones, as well as Crosstalk Noise in both the power spectral density (PSD) and time domain.
